Project Story

"This state of the art facility will provide hope and healing"

"The grand opening of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital marks the culmination of a decade’s worth of hard work and determination that started with a simple vision: providing world-class health care for Saskatchewan children and families for generations. This state of the art facility will provide hope and healing, and will have an impact on Saskatchewan that is sure to extend far beyond the walls of this hospital.

Despite the scale and complexity of the project, our team successfully navigated several challenges, including coordinating a large multi-stakeholder team, balancing technical clinical requirements with a child- and family-focused design, and meeting strict timelines and budgets.

The result was a hospital that transcends health care and centres the holistic wellbeing of patients and their families, while also streamlining clinical workflows to improve staff efficiencies.  Through integrating nature inspired murals and colourful, fun spaces the JPCH not only supports healing, but also reflects the character of Saskatchewan.
